Learn how to sew.

THE OVERVIEW

My ultimate aim to get us all into crafting, making, knitting and sewing.

Understanding how a garment is made and the time and resources that takes will, in my mind, be the biggest shift in moving away from the fast fashion cycle we’re currently in. Less fast fashion = less landfill = happy Earth.

I therefore offer a range of courses, workshops and drop-in sessions for a variety of skill sets. I teach complete beginners who have never sewn a stitch to more advanced techniques like bag making and using patterns.

I have my current classes listed, however, I’m always open to what you’d like to learn.

If you’d like to use my services for a specific project (friend’s getaway or workplace fun day etc.) then I’d be happy to discuss this with you. I can also provide ideas depending on the skill levels of the group.

If you prefer to not be a group setting then I’d also happily discuss 1:1 (or 2:1) tuition.

THE CLASSES

A woman standing on a stage with her hands raised, smiling, in front of an audience at an event labeled 'The Stitch Stage.' Several other people are visible in the background, standing near a podium. The setting appears to be a formal event or presentation.

All my classes and workshops are located in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire.

They are run at Sam Dales & Sons in a dedicated craft space.

I highly recommend learning how to sew on your own machine, however, we do have 4 basic domestic sewing machines available for you to use on a first-come-first-serve basis to get you started.
