Learn how to knot.
THE OVERVIEW
My ultimate aim to get us all into crafting - knitting and sewing; and now Macramรฉ.
Having time to craft, learning a new skill or simply getting out the house; itโs all great for mental wellbeing. Especially in the chaos of our modern world.
I therefore proudly offer a range of courses, workshops and drop-in sessions for a variety of skill sets. I teach complete beginners how to make knots, and then turn those knots into a cute project (or two!)
I have my current classes listed, however, Iโm always open to what youโd like to learn.
If youโd like to use my services for a specific project (friendโs getaway or workplace fun day etc.) then Iโd be happy to discuss this with you. I can also provide ideas depending on the skill levels of the group.
If you prefer to not be a group setting then Iโd also happily discuss 1:1 (or 2:1) tuition.
THE CLASSES
When Macramรฉ rope meets a sewing machine beautiful things are created!
Join me for a fun afternoon making rope bowls, coasters or placementsโฆadd your own fabric scraps to make yours truly unique!
Confident beginners welcome - it will help to be able to sew in a straight line (or near enough!) already but if youโre feeling up for the challenge I will welcome the enthusiasm.
Iโll teach you how to start and shape your bowl (or how to keep it flat) and add in fabric scraps if thatโs the look you are going for.
Location: Sam Dale & Son, Holmes Chapel, Cheshire.
Date: 10th November 2026
Times: 18:00-21:00 (3 hours) - plenty of time to go slow and make something beautiful :)
Price: ยฃ45 per person per workshop.
Adults only.
Materials list:
Rope and thread provided.
What to bring:
Your sewing machine (needs to be able to do a zig zag stitch) and two empty bobbins.
If you are wanting to add in fabric scraps, then woven fabric is best cut on the bias about 3cm wideโฆbut we can probably make any long scraps work! NOTE: I didnโt cut mine on the bias!
New craft alertโฆ
Introducing Macramé.
And for those of you who donโt know - itโs making knots with special rope and/or cord into an item or textile.
Once you know the basic knots it can be quite repetitive and with that comes relaxation and a crafting flow state. Macramé is great for the mind and switching off.
Iโm running two workshops. One in the morning and one in the afternoon. They will both be the same.
Iโll teach you how to make an adorable flower keychain and a boho style coaster.
